Fuel Poverty Awareness Day was held on Friday 29th November. It is a national day to raise awareness of some of the issues faced by those living in cold homes and the solutions available.
Here are Warm & Well in North Yorkshire we believe that living in a warm home is essential for our health and wellbeing, but rising energy prices, low income and poor-quality housing means that over 24,000 households in North Yorkshire don’t have that option.
Fuel Poverty Awareness Day is coordinated by National Energy Action who are calling for greater support for those struggling to heat their homes. Our partners at Community First Yorkshire have published a case study and further information about the help on offer, to read this visit their website.
