Service your boiler and get an Energy Efficiency Assessment of your home
You can arrange a home visit from Warm & Well in North Yorkshire to look at how your home can be kept warm and energy efficient this winter.
Laura Thomas, Warm & Well in North Yorkshire Project Co-ordinator, said: “There is a direct correlation between poor health and not keeping warm. 11,760 people were admitted to hospital in 2017/18 with problems related to living in cold homes in the Yorkshire and Humber area.”
“There are ways that we can help you make your home warmer this winter without building up huge heating costs. Last year, one in ten households in the UK got into fuel debt and owed an average of £134 to their energy suppliers before winter had even started. We want to help stop this happening this year.”
“Rather than waiting until you get a worrying energy bill in mid-winter, why not take steps to cut your costs in advance? By planning ahead you can save money but not at the expense of being warm. We’re working to keep North Yorkshire warm and well this winter.”
